More Hoose News

Well, it's been a while since I've written here, so thought I'd send an update. The house is working out really well; much better than we'd hoped!

Mum and Paul visited last week, they had a nice couple of days travelling up near Loch Lomond, then came back to us and helped out in the garden - the pots are looking great now, and it's really spurred us on to do more out there (when we get time!)

The menagerie are settling in well, we think we'll let Ebony out soon - but she'll have to pluck up courage to come downstairs first!

New Hoose

Well, we're in our new house, and despite a few too-few-hours-in-the-day issues, it's working very very well.

My office is setup & working very well. I need to find a computer storage unit for my servers; as they're quite, well, deafening... The kitchen needs a bit of work, as does the bathroom, but nothing major - thank goodness! And, it all nearly fits (loft is too small though!)

House news, and busy-ness

Well, the house is progressing well; 3rd time lucky with the mortgage; took a look at the acceptance letter and although lacking a fridge freezer, everything else looks just fine.

Going to see the solicitors to draft missives on Friday - fingers crossed!

Dog is settling in and finally calming down a bit. Laura has done a lot of training work with him which hopefully I can continue with.

Busy working day today; so I'd better get back to Hibernate and admin configurations

Well, things are quite busy here in the household!

The mortgage application finally - third time lucky - went through. Thanks to Christian Butler at Endsleigh Financial for his hard work. Grr to Brittania, who dropped the mortgage product just as I wanted to get it. Grr to Portman, who don't like the type of construction; and rah for Halifax, who like us and want to give us the money!

The dog is settling in nicely (watch this space for photos) and the cat, although a little scared, is still talking to us, eating, etc; so I think she'll come around.

Had better get on with work now!
