I frequently use different size external monitors and sometimes (quite often) my iTunes window ends up the wrong size such that I can't drag the bottom-right handle.
I was about to write myself an AppleScript to resize the window to a fixed (small) size when I found this post, which answered the problem:
OPTION-CLICK on the green resize button. Done.
One thing I am beginning to get annoyed by with Apple is the undocumented (or hard-to-find) features that make things so much more usable!

Checking SMART status with 3ware RAID cards
smartctl -d 3ware,X --all /dev/twa0
Where X is the index (0...n) of the drive you want to check.
Thanks to Alex at Loho for this info.

Apple OS X DVD Drive region change failing?
OK, so I agonised over this lots, so thought I ought to share it.
If you have changed region the 4 times allowed on your mac, and try to change for the last time on a European disc, then the chances are, you'll get a 'Error -700001'. This is annoying, and worrying.
There is a simple reason. If the disc you're using is Region 2 + 4 then this will happen. If it's just region 2, then you'll be fine.
Fix: Use a single-region disc to reset the region on your mac. Sorted.
