- Setup LPD print sharing on the XP server.
- Setup LPR monitor (i.e. LDR client) on the Vista client.
- Install printer driver from scratch (it'll install to LPT1 or something) on the Vista client. Accept 'no hardware' installation.
- Edit the printer properties, click Ports, Add new, Type IP address and printer name of the server.

Printing from Vista - If windows printing doesn't work...
So I'm sure many people have been hit by the 'There is not enough memory to perform this operation' issue with Samsung and other third-party drivers on Vista when connecting to network shares (hosted by XP). I've come across a great solution:
